Although this project is still in development it’s time to share some progress. Serious Simulations reached out to JGW looking to move their Industrial Design by Peter Solomon Design into a prototype package. This involved some engineering and design as well as prototype tooling for a Carbon Fiber portion of the enclosure. Due to the time constraints tooling was produced using ULTEM 1010 from Cideas/BuildParts who also produced several other finished components for the final assembly. Due to the FDM printed tools a low temp prepreg system had to be sourced from TCR Composites. Very interesting this 3d printed tooling, some good news, some bad news, but overall an interesting project. More to come please stay tuned.
